Can Kenya save the elephant?

Issued on:

Kenya’s elephant population has shrunk from more than 160,000 in 1963, to less than 40,000 today due to several factors including climate change, forest decline, habitat degradation and poaching. The Kenya Wildlife Service is attempting to face the decline head-on through an innovative approach that is upholding conservation focus while ensuring long term sustainability of conservation efforts.
