Infant mortality continues to blight Africa

Issued on:

A report published by the organisation, Save the Children, shows that despite a significant reduction in child mortality around the globe, on the African continent the health of newborn babies has been largely overlooked. RFI spoke to Dr Joy Lawn, one of the authors of the report, who was herself born in a bush hospital with no electricity or running water in northern Uganda.
