Khartoum and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement start talks in Addis Ababa

Negotiations between Khartoum and the main rebel group in Sudan are set to open today in Addis Ababa. The talks between the government and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement North are being held under the auspices of the African Union. They are set to focus on the situation in South Kordofan and Blue Nile states, where violence has displaced hundreds of thousands of people. RFI spoke to Kamal Kambal, an SPLM North official who is not overly enthusiastic about the talks.
