There are reports that Qatar is sending urgently needed funds to Sudan. According to the Sudan Tribune, an online newspaper, Qatar has promised to transfer the equivalent of 887 million euros to the Sudanese Central Bank. The aim is to curb the fall of the Sudanese pound. But could it also help president Omar al-Bashir in the fact of political protests?
