Three police officers shot dead in latest Mexican drug violence
Three police officers have been shot dead in Acapulco. Itβs the latest in a string of suspected drug-related attacks in the area.

Armed men shot at the police as they were on patrol, killing the three and wounding one other, according to a statement from the authorities.
Around 30 people have died in violent attacks in Acapulco in the past 10 days alone, while a Canadian businessman disappeared there last week, and is feared dead. The Canadian CBC network says his body has been found in his burnt out car some 140 kilometres northeast of Acapulco.
20 Mexican tourists were abducted there one month ago.
The port area is a battleground in drug violence which has left more than 28,000 people dead across Mexico since 2006, according to official figures.
