Brazilian journalist flees country following death threats

The Brazilian investigative journalist Mauri König has had to flee his country following death threats against him and his newspaper Gazeta de Pova because of his report on alleged police corruption in his home town of Curitiba. Following the threats, he and his family went into hiding. He is being assisted by a number of bodies includnig the Brazilian association for the protection of investigative journalism (ABRAJI). RFI asked ABRAJI's president Marcelo Moreira about the case and the conditions Brazilian journalists face.
