US relationship with Saudi Arabia under strain over Syria and Iran

US Secretary of State John Kerry said yesteday that his country's ties with Saudi Arabia are, in his words, "strategic and enduring". He said that Washington and Riyadh shared the same goal in the Syrian conflict. But Prince Saud said any proposed talks to end Syria's conflict could not go on forever. RFI talked to Riyad Kahwaji, a military observer in the region about the increasingly difficult relationship between Washington and Riyadh that's being tested by conflicting views on how to handle Syria and Iran.
