French spiderman scales Bucharest skyscraper
So-called "French Spiderman", Alain Robert, climbed almost to the top of one of the tallest buildings in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, on Friday as part of a publicity campaign.

Robert, aged-48, crawled up balcony after balcony of the 22-storey Hotel Intercontinental, using a rope and a harness.
Some two hundred people cheered from the sidewalk below taking pictures.
But he stopped several metres before reaching the top in order to unfurl a banner advertising a Romanian retailer.
"It was quite spectacular, but I would have liked to see him go all the way to the top," said a housewife accompanied by her four-year-old daughter.

Robert has climbed more than 100 of the world's tallest buildings, including the 828-metre Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Sears Tower in the US city of Chicago and the 88-storey Jin Mao Building in Shanghai, China.
