Paris’s public transportation company (RATP) says the now connected Roissybus will help ease arrivals to the number one destination in the world.

“French and foreign tourists will be able to better prepare their arrival in Paris (for example, watch their itineraries and locate their hotels).”

For departures, the RATP said it will help tourists check their departure gate, boarding time, and other travel concerns.

Users will be able to connect via mobile phones, digital tablets or laptops for 30 minutes, regardless of their operator.

The six-month pilot programme, which could be extended if deemed popular, is a joint effort between the RATP and Orange.

It’s also part of a larger plan to bring free high-speed Internet to all of Paris’s metro system by the end of 2016.
