Political posters with slogans like "It's forbidden to forbid" or "Under the paving stones, the beach" were a driving force in the May 68 Paris uprisings. The vast majority were designed and printed at Paris's Beaux-Arts (Fine Arts school) by the Atelier Populaire collective. Paris kids' film festival breaks down generational barriers
Cinema can break down the barriers between generations. Mon Premier Festival, or My First Festival opened last week with Rachid Hami's La Mélodie (The Orchestra Class) and ended last night with a classic for all ages, Jacques Tati's 1949, Jour de Fête.
