Social networks, instant messaging and the internet have all been blamed for exacerbating the riots, looting and arson that engulfed England's inner cities last month. They are also playing a prominent role in the aftermath of the unrest. An online petition demanding that anyone charged in connection with the riots who lives in a government-subsidised property should be evicted, has received over 200,000 signatures. Our reporter went to the Borough of Wandsworth in south London to find out if local people want to see looters booted out of their homes as punishment.
