Reports from Somalia say two unidentified men dressed in student uniforms on Sunday shot dead veteran journalist Yusuf Ali Omsan who formally served as the director of Radio Mogadishu. At the time of his death he was working as an officer at the Ministry of Information. Another journalist, Mohamed Ali, commonly known as Buniste, was also killed in a firefight on Sunday. Osman and Ali are the seventh and eighth Somali journalists to be murdered this year.
