Turkey's Assyrian Christians aid their Syrian cousins at Christmas

The increasing presence of islamist groups supported by Jihadists fighting the Syrian regime is putting Syria’s ancient Assyrian Christian population under growing pressure. Many are now fleeing to neighbouring Turkey. With Christmas approaching, the refugees are being supported by Turkey’s small Assyrian Christian community. RFI visited the Turkish city of Mardin close to the Syrian border.
