Missing D-Day vet returns to nursing home in England
An 89-year old veteran who slipped out of his nursing home on the southern English coast on Thursday has returned home after joining in on the D-Day commemorations in Normandy, France.

"I had a great time, I'm really pleased I did it," said Bernard Jordan after returning by ferry to Portsmouth.
The former Royal Navy officer said he had no regrets for leaving the Pines nursing home in Hove without notice and his war metals concealed under his raincoat.
He then joined a coach party heading for events commemerating the landings at Ouistreham in Normandy.
The home called the police on Thursday after Jordan didn't return home from his morning walk to town.
As he crossed over to France, Jordan reportedly befriended a cycling group over a pint, sang and danced for 45 minutes.
Jordan was missing for 12 hours before a younger veteran contacted the home to notify them of his whereabouts.
The home said he was not banned from attending the events, contrary to initial media reports.
His determination has been hailed as an embodiment of the determination that got him through the war.
Nursing home manager Debbie McDonald told AFP news agency that Jordan is now at home resting.
