Ukrainian protestors set up road and train blockades

For the past eight weeks, Ukrainian protestors have set up road and train blockades to stop the coal trade between the government in Kiev and pro-Russia separatists in the east.

They’re angry that the government is doing business with the enemy, a situation caused by the government’s need to keep Ukraine’s energy plants going.

Kiev has now imposed its own official embargo – but not before it condemned the blockades and sent in police to arrest demonstrators at one of the main blockade sites near the front line town of Toretsk in eastern Ukraine.
