For the last decade lovers have been attaching locks to the railings of the famous pedestrian bridge Pont des Arts in the centre of Paris, as a sign of their eternal love and devotion. Some estimates put the number of padlocks at 9,000. However, recently the lovers’ locks have been mysteriously disappearing from the bridge. Now only a few dozen remain.
