Paris careers fair looks to tackle systemic French unemployment

Unemployment among French young people stands at 24 per cent and many fear it could rise further with retirement being pushed back two years. To help both the young and old out of unemployment Paris is hosting the eighth edition of the country’s biggest career fair. Starting on Thursday, 1,000 employers are looking to fill over 15,000 positions, with 50,000 visitors expected to attend.
