In France, a parents association has sharply criticised the decision by some primary schools to give children homework, a move which goes against government policy. The National Federation of Parents Councils, the FCPE, in partnership with the ICEM, the Cooperative Institute of Modern Schools has decided to launch a two-week initiative called 'without homework'.
