The French government is on vacation. Last week was the end of the extraordinary parliamentary session that started after the June elections. Right before the break a group of MPs and senators formed a bike club, not to ride together but as a way of pushing policies that favour pedal power. There are now 40 members. Alexis Bachelay, a brand-new MP, sees promoting biking as a way of addressing a range of issues.
