Just 27 per cent of French MPs are female, and only 14 per cent of the country's 36,000 mayors are women. The few who do make it into politics are helped by equal opportunity laws, but these can only go so far. A new organization, Women & Power, is attempting to bring togehter female politicians from all political leanings, so they can help each other.
