After gay marriage debate, adoptees fight for a voice

The law legalising gay marriage in France also legalised adoption.  Many of the laws' opponents cited adoption as a major concern for them. But very few of the debates involved those who would be directly affected: the children themselves, adoptees. Children who were adopted in the 1970s and 80s are now adults and want to have their say in policy issues that affect adoption. The recently formed National Council of Adoptees has held its first conference.
