Chorba for all in Paris during Ramadan

Chorba for all in Paris during Ramadan

Volunteers serving takeaway chorba during ramadan Alison Hird

France's Muslim population, thought to be around three million, is currently marking the holy month of Ramadan. Believers are expected to fast during daylight hours and show solidarity towards people in need. The Paris-based association Chorba pour tous provides free meals all year but works doubly hard during Ramadan, providing takeaway food and a communal breaking of the fast known as iftar. Volunteers also enjoy giving something back during Ramadan.
