Nuclear on show in Paris as parliament passes renewable energy bill

In a twist of scheduling, the French parliament passed an energy bill on opening day of France's first-ever expo devoted to the nuclear industry, the World Nuclear Exhibition.The draft legislation aims to reduce France's dependence on nuclear power from 75 per cent today to 50 per cent in 2050. Forum participants, from French nuclear giant Areva to small suppliers, did not seem concerned about this new law.
