The French minister of health announced on Sunday that the person underwent “a secure medical evacuation by specialised aircraft" into Paris last night.

The person, whose gender has not been publicly released, has been isolated in high security in an army hospital in Saint-Mande, near Paris.

A French nurse who had contracted the virus after working in Liberia with the non profit organisation Doctors Without Borders was treated and healed in the same hospital.

Though approximately 500 cases of Ebola infections have been reported in France since June, none have tested positive.
