France pushes Google to go farther on the right to be forgotten
Since the European Court of Justice ruled in May that people can request internet search engines to delist links associated with their names, Google, the world's biggest search engine, has received over 720,000 requests. France is the top country requesting links to be removed, and half have been approved. But Google is only delisting links from its European domains. The links remain on their main search site, Google.com. France's data protection authority is leading a push to change that.
