Paris 'shooting' gallery a success, but opposition remains

France opened its first shooting gallery in a Paris hospital in October last year. It’s a safe place where drug addicts can inject under medical supervision.

Backed by the health ministry and Paris city hall, it's seen as a pragmatic public health measure and Gaia, the asociation in charge of the centre, says it's proving a success.
