Fancy a swim in the Seine? It may be possible by 2024

When the city of Paris opened one of its canals to swimmers for one day last Summer, hundreds of people turned out to swim.

Now the city authorities say they are going to make it possible to swim in the river Seine in 2024, just in time for the Olympics.
