Women on motorbikes, rare birds in France

After the Velib (short-term rental bikes) and the Autolib (short-term rental cars), it's inevitable that the next step is rental scooters. Two companies are currently offering competing services in Paris, with smartphone based systems to hire electric scooters for short rides around the city. They have seen some measure of success, but they are not reaching a significant part of the population: women.

One company, Cityscoot, is trying to encourage more women, by offering free training courses to learn how to use the scooters.
