French butter crisis for some, vegan bakers say no problem

French butter crisis for some, vegan bakers say no problem

The price of butter in France has nearly tripled in the last year and
a half, and bakers are considering raising the prices of their
pastries to compensate.

croissant is made of butter and flour, and it's the building block of
many cakes and deserts. So a price increase in butter hits hard.

But not everyone is concerned. Vegan bakers don’t use butter.
