Mixed reactions to limits on Airbnb rentals in Paris

The city of Paris has imposed limits on short-term apartment rentals on sites like Airbnb Martin Bureau/AFP

Paris has introduced time limits on short-term apartment rentals on sites like Airbnb. The city blames short-term rentals for taking away housing to Paris residents.

Putting limits is not new: Berlin has banned rentals of less than a month. London and Barcelona have introduced caps as well.

France is Airbnb’s second-largest market, after the US, with 350,000 listings, 65,000 of which are in Paris, the most visited city in the world.

RFI looks into how renters are reacting to the new rules.
