Rising violence in Iraq continued over the weekend with a series of deadly bombings in the central and southern part of the country. Sectarian violence has claimed 3,189 lives so far this year, according to the independent monitoring group Iraq Body Count. The latest unrest is also setting July down a deadly path with 371 deaths. Iraq Body Count co-founder Hamit Dardagan looks at what is causing this surge in violence between the Sunni Arab minority and the Shiite-led government.
