Iran nuclear discussed

French president Francois Hollande says France remains opposed to easing sanctions against Iran until it is convinced Tehran has abandoned any pursuit of nuclear weapons. Speaking during a three day visit to Israel, the French leader's pledge came ahead of negotiations reconvening this week in Geneva. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is continuing his campaign to convince Israel's main ally, Washington, and other world powers to toughen terms of a proposed nuclear deal with Iran. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the six leading powers and Iran are close to a preliminary agreement. RFI spoke to Natan Sachs a Middle East expert about the talks.
