Of the 2 million Syrians displaced since the start of the war, over 200,000 Syrian Kurds, around half of whom are children, have fled to Iraqi Kurdistan. Free schooling is available to all refugees in Kurdistan but there are many factors preventing Syrian children from continuing their education.Β
