Syrian refugees in Lebanon series part 3/5

Issued on:

Syria’s civil war has triggered the largest refugee crisis since World War II, with almost three million people having fled the country. Many refugees have been living off their financial savings but after four years of war, these funds are increasingly drying up, making their situation even more fragile. Healthcare is heavily subsidised in Syria, but significantly more expensive in neighbouring countries such as Lebanon - where over 1.3 million Syrian refugees now live. RFI has been to Lebanon to examine refugee access to healthcare in the country.
