France to face All Blacks in Rugby World Cup final

France will face New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup final next Sunday in Auckland. The All Blacks are favourites after their resounding victory over Australia in Sunday’s semi-final.

New Zealand beat the Wallabies 20-6 in what their coach, Graham Henry, described as an “outstanding performance”, a sharp contrast to France’s narrow victory over Wales on Saturday, which was widely attributed to the sending off of Irish captain Sam Warburton.

The final will be a rematch of the first World Cup final in 1987, when the All Blacks won 29-9.

They have also already beaten France in Auckland this year, winning their pool match 37-17.

But the 1987 win has been their only World Cup victory so far.

And France beat them I the 2007 quarter final. Henry was also trainer then.

But there was discord in the French camp Sunday.

Coach Marc Lièvremont called his team "a bunch of undisciplined, spoilt brats" because some of them disobeyed his orders not to celebrate their semi-final win on Saturday night.
