Paris St Germain create history by winning the quadruple
Paris St Germain became the first club in French footballing history to claim the first quadruple as they beat Auxerre 1-0 to win the French Cup on Saturday.

A second half goal by Uruguyan striker Edinson Cavani at the Stade de France helped the Paris side made a clean sweep of domestic honours this season.
PSG had already won a third consecutive Ligue 1 title and retained the League Cup besides winning the season-opening Champions Trophy in August.
PSG, which is one of the world’s richest clubs and boasts of stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Thiago Motta, were the clear favourites to win the final against a team which just finished ninth in their third successive season in Ligue 2.
Auxerre, who had upset defending champions Guingamp in the semifinals, relied on counter attacks and long balls to frustrate the star studded Paris team which took over an hour to break the deadlock.
Relegated in 2012, Auxerre won a league and cup double in 1996 while also lifting the French Cup in 1994, 2003 and 2005.
