Former international striker Cissé questioned over sex tape blackmail case
Former international striker Djibril Cissé is among four people arrested on Tuesday over a blackmail investigation that involves a sex tape featuring international French midfielder Mathieu Valbuena.

The attempted extortion involved video footage of sex, with Valbuena and his girlfriend, recorded on a mobile phone although a source close to the investigation said the existence of the tape “has yet to be proven”.
Cissé, 34, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, was apprehended because he knew the others involved, but he is not suspected of a role as instigator and he “should soon be removed from the investigation” said on Tuesday the same source.
The four are being held in custody after arrests in Paris and Marseille.
Valbuena, 31, plays for Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais and the French national team.
Cissé himself made a complaint in 2008 over a similar blackmail case in which he was the target while he was playing for Marseille.
