Man United stunned by Feyenoord in Europa league

Manchester United were stunned 1-0 by Dutch side Feyenoord in their Europa League Group A encounter on Thursday night.

Tonny Vilhena’s late strike sank United which has been one of the top spenders in Europe this season.

It was United's second consecutive defeat after a loss to bitter rivals Manchester City in the Premier League.

United manager Jose Mourinho made eight changes to the squad that played against City.

Wayne Rooney was rested and while only David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly were retained from the side beaten by City.

Despite the loss, Mourinho defended his decision to make eight changes to the squad.

In Champions League matches, Leicester City registered an impressive 3-0 win over Bruges debut on Thursday night.

Leicester, who sensationally won the English Premier League last season breezed past Bruges thanks to a brace by Riyad Mahrez. The away win will boost the confidence of Leicester which is struggling in the Premier League.

In other matches, Sergio Aguero hit a hat-trick as Manchester City crushed Borussia Moenchengladbach 4-0 at home while Borussia Dortmund smashed Legia Warsaw by scoring six goals.

Porto and FC Copenhagen played out a 1-1 draw while French league leaders Monaco beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.
